Members of Chicago Laborers' Affiliated Locals Sent Face Masks

On behalf of the LIUNA Great Lakes Region, Chicago Laborers’ District Council, and all Affiliated Locals we have mailed all active working members (non-retired) a washable, reusable cloth face-covering. Please, wear it at work and in other public settings, unless other breathing apparatuses are required.

This is not meant to replace a respirator or N-95 mask, but it will help lower the risk of infection for you, your family, co-workers, and others you encounter.

Please, continue to practice social distancing guidelines even when you are wearing a mask/face covering – staying six feet away from others when possible, and wash your hands frequently. We must all do our part to keep each other safe and help halt the spread of COVID-19, especially to those most vulnerable.

We have entered an era of many unknowns, but our goals remain the same: to provide world-class infrastructure and utility services, to earn a fair day’s pay for a fair day’s work, and to come home safely to our families each day. Rest assured that our union is strong and together we will adapt to meet the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
