Investment Will Create Jobs Building America

Washington, D.C. (July 1, 2020) – Terry O’Sullivan, General President of LIUNA – the Laborers’ International Union of North America – made the following statement today:

LIUNA commends Speaker Pelosi and the U.S. House for passage of the Moving Forward Act, a $1.5 trillion infrastructure investment which will provide needed funding for transportation, drinking water systems, schools, hospitals, and public housing.

At a time when our nation is facing the most severe economic crisis in a lifetime as well as a health pandemic, these investments will help boost the economy, create hundreds of thousands of good jobs, and upgrade our infrastructure.

LIUNA urges the U.S. Senate to quickly take action on the Moving Forward Act so that our nation may continue on the road to economic recovery.
