Training & Apprenticeship
Laborers have access to the best continuing education program in North America. And it's free. The Chicagoland Laborers' District Council Training & Apprentice Fund with locations in Carol Stream and Chicago, IL opens the doors to new opportunity and advancement by providing valuable building construction skills - such as hazardous materials remediation, remote tunneling and concrete work - which helps our employers compete with higher productivity and quality, and helps workers earn more money while working more safely.
Attention Veterans: You may be eligible for G.I. Bill training benefits during your Laborers apprenticeship. This may include additional wages to make up the difference between the apprentice and journeyworker hourly wage rates, money for books and supplies, and/or money for housing if you use Post-9/11 G.I. Bill benefits. Visit the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs webpage for On-the-Job Training and Apprenticeships, or contact the Director of Apprenticeship or Training Director for more information.
